Valeen, a 25-year-old actress best known for her roles in the ABS-CBN drama Ysabella and the TV5 comedy sketch show Lokomoko, is obviously stunning. But it’s her pedigree that sets her apart. Her grandparents, Mario Montenegro and Letty Alonzo, were AAA movie stars in the ’50s. One of her aunts founded Repertory Philippines and her dad was a former Philippine team football star. If we were writing a character that’s supposed to come from the upper crust, we’d probably give her Valeen’s surname.
Simply put, Valeen was bred for success in showbiz. It was as if a team of genetic engineers conspired to build the perfect specimen in the ultra-competitive industry. They came up with Valeen—and now, we’re announcing their success by putting her on our cover. #FHMValeenHotDamn
But in spite of the pedigree, Valeen seems like a girl we could truly date. In her cover interview she reveals her favorite eats. Her choices were something we could afford, thankfully:
“Brick oven pizza with tomatoes and mozzarella, or pepperoni. Ano pang gusto kong kainin? I want…I want… ginugutom mo ako, ‘di naman tama ‘yan! And pasta and…pwede bang drink? Coffee-based na drink na iced. Normally, hindi ako nag-te-take ng iced, but I want one now.”
Plus, how can you not love a girl that professes her love for FHM? Valeen proudly states her approval of our rag when she stated her reason for appearing on the cover:
"Let’s say I’ve been a fan of the magazine, I know all your covers so I know what it means to do a cover for you guys. Plus, this couldn’t have been a better time to do this. Kasi if you feel sexy and you know you worked your ass off, why don’t you be proud of it?"
