This reunion is hotter than ever, as Jinri Park banners the 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2017 issue. This year's No. 23 can thank her FHM roots for establishing her sexy image. She was featured as an inside babe several times, as sex-and-relationship columnist for the magazine, and finally as a cover girl in August 2013. For all this, we'd like to extend our gratitude to Jinri as her first official Jinjas!
She has since broadened her horizons in the entertainment industry as a DJ (93.1 Monster Radio), host (KPOP Republic), and actress (Vampire Ang Daddy Ko). But it was during her stint in the Pinoy Big Brother house that people got to know more about the real Jinri.
“In that small house, you’re forced to get to know more about yourself because you’re forced to interact with different people,” Jinri shares. “In any other situation in every day life, I’d just walk away from these situations, but in PBB I couldn’t just walk away from it. I had to face it. As cliché as it sounds, I did learn a lot about life and how to be understanding of other people while I was inside that house.”
The experience allowed her to break free from being stereotyped as "just another sexy Korean." Now, she has explored other ventures as CEO of an app for dog owners (Wagtales) and as a martial arts practitioner in between showbiz endeavors.
“[Jiu-jitsu] has changed the way I view my life because it teaches you to be very humble. The martial art recognizes that there’s always going to be someone better than you and who will beat you even if you’re very experienced. I get this unexplainable fulfillment out of it.”
Perhaps that's also the reason why she has no problems gracing our cover for the second time.
“I’m not a one-sided person. I’m not just a sexy model. I am a sexy model, who’s a CEO, who kicks ass at Jiu-jitsu, who acts, and is interested in so many things. I’m introverted yet I’m confident... I think. No, wait! Let’s make it clear, I am a confident woman! Ha ha!” Jinri says. “I just live day by day trying new things. I don’t exactly know where these choices might take me and honestly, I don’t want to know. And while I do have goals like becoming a black belt in Jiujitsu, I feel like I’m discovering so many new things about myself and trying all these things right now feels so exciting for me.”
