The former member of the dance crew Hot Legs sure knows how to pay homage to her old group, doesn't she? Now, months removed from her Pinoy Big Brother 737 stint, she sets foot on an entirely different dance floor: our cover.
At the shoot, we gave the sultry dancer a test in motor coordination, and demanded the most excruciating poses—a test she passed so effortlessly, we are pleased to report. The long hours in the studio had bore fruit in her sexiest shoot to date:
"I actually started out with ballet. My mom asked me if I wanted to do it, sabi ko, 'Sige, okay lang. I'll try.' I was already 15 back then, so that was actually a super late start. I had no idea about proper training, na may classes pala, kaya um-oo ako," she narrated.
"Nung (time na) halos kinupkop na ko ng dance teacher ko, I was dancing every single day, as in walang humpay. In two years, nahabol ko yung time na sana nag-start na 'ko. Gumaling ako—naging flexible ako, gumanda yung form ko, nagkaro’n ako ng linya."
That form is now in full view in the new issue, a fact that the bold and confident Dawn carries proudly:
"There is nothing wrong [with] showing a little bit of skin, as long as you carry it well. You can show a little bit of skin as long as it's still classy. And siyempre, you still act like a lady."
It's words like these that make us want to ask Dawn out for Valentine's.
Along with Dawn, our February issue also contains cool features like the gospel of dating according to AlDub; a playlist of the most hilarious local viral videos; the keys to getting women to sex you; and the mystery of the subways we almost had.
