Having the Bubble Gang Babes grace the magazine late last year was truly an enlightening endeavor. The multi-cover girl feature made us realize how much we miss returnees Arny Ross, Jackie Rice, Kim Domingo, and Valeen Montenegro, while also seeing the promise of newbies Lovely Abella, Denise Barbacena, Arra San Agustin, and Chariz Solomon.
One could consider April muse Lovely Abella as the most qualified for a spot on the longest-running gag show—even her female cast members say so. The irresistible Ilongga has an unforced knack for leaving people in stitches, which has been a trademark of Bubble Gang luminaries like Toni Gonzaga and Rufa Mae Quinto.
To think that Lovely entered show business as a "dakilang extra," before her dancing prowess landed her a regular gig in Willie Revillame's game shows. Soon after, the 32-year-old single mother was given the chance to display her acting chops (Calle Siete, D' Originals), which paved the way for her addition to the humor institution's ever-evolving roster.
Lovely now being part of Bubble Gang is a perfect example of things falling into its own rightful place—in her case, patience and perseverance worked wonders for the natural funnywoman in finding her niche in the industry. Same goes with her well-deserved FHM cover stint, which bares a different side of this lovely lass.
